A Santa Barbara woman was crushed by a tractor and killed while touring a
farm near Portland, Ore., authorities said. Karen Elizabeth Warda, 23, a
student at Seattle Pacific University, was riding the tractor operated by
Kevin Fish, 23, on his family farm when it flipped over. Miss Warda, Fish
and another passenger, Karl Lambert, 23, of Seattle were pinned under the
tractor, authorities said. Fish suffered a broken arm, and Lambert was
hospitalized with internal injuries, a broken pelvis and a punctured lung,
investigators said.
